Tobacco Grade CMC
INTRODUCTION
CMC (Sodium carboxymethyl cellulose) is mainly used as a binder and film forming agent in tobacco. It can effectively bond tobacco fragments together, improve the tensile strength and folding resistance of tobacco flakes, and reduce the re-formation of tobacco fragments. In addition, CMC can also improve the water retention performance of tobacco flakes, helping to maintain the toughness and color of tobacco, thereby improving the overall quality of tobacco and smoking experience. As an adhesive and film forming substance, CMC has no toxic side effects on the human body and has burn-out performance in the recycled tobacco leaves used in the manufacture of cigarettes.
